Latest Bollywood News: Happy Birth Day Jaya Bachchan
9th April 1948 born actress Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan turned 70 today. She is one of the finest Indian actresses and the better half of legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. She is well known for her naturalistic acting. After did her first debut as a teenager in Satyajit Ray’s Mahanagar in 1963 she joined Indias prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune.Then she did her first Hindi debut with Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Guddi. Jaya Bachchan gets Filmfare Award for the Bollywood movies like 'Uphar', 'Abhiman', 'Kora Kagaz', 'Naukar', ‘Hazar Chourashi ki Maa’, 'Fiza', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham', 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'.
Jaya Bachchan made her first film with Amitabh Bachchan in 1972 film 'Bansi Birju' then after there are many films they did together. They include hit films like 'Zanjeer', 'Abhiman', 'Chupke Chupke', 'Mili', 'Sholay and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'.
The two decided to get married around they both did the movie Abhiman. Jaya not only a good actress but also a good wife and mother. After marriage, she decides to left film industry for her family.
Guddi (1971)
Hrishikesh Mukherjee directorial this movie was one of the hit movies. Jaya Bachchan played the role of a 14-year-old school girl who is obsessed with and admires Bollywood superstar Dharmendra. Jaya was nominated for the Best Actress award. This movie was a big hit at the box office.
Anamika (1973)
Romance and suspense mix Raghunath Jalani directorial this movie gave Jaya a good recognition. Jaya played the lead role named Anamika a young girl with negative traits. This movie was appreciated by many and also it brought out Jaya's acting skill. Sanjeev Kumar act opposite to Jaya in this movie.
Koshish (1972)
Another movie in which both Sanjeev and Jaya worked together was Koshish. It was directed by Gulzar. This movie was considered as one of the best in the history of Indian Cinema. Two lead characters played the role of deaf and mute persons. The story has abutted the life of deaf and mute couples in an insensitive society.
Mili (1975)
Hrishikesh Mukherjee directorial and Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Ashok Kumar in the lead. Jaya played the role of Mili Khanna is a girl who suffered from pernicious anemia which is an incurable disease. For this, she won the nomination for best actress Film Fare Award.
Silsila (1981)
Yash Chopra's one of the most romantic movies. This movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha, Sanjeev Kumar in the lead. Yash Chopra made this movie after inspired by the real-life love triangle between Amitabh-Jaya-Rekha. Yash decided to bring this story from real to reel. Silsila is a cult movie now. the story about the character of Shobha Malhotra, she gets married to Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) and then finds her husband is in love with someone else.
