Sanjay Leela Bhansali isn't yet finished with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh!

Padmaavat Movie

Touted as one of the best and the best with regards to period dramatization, Bhansali, who has some breathtaking movies shockingly, has just worked with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the course of the most recent six years. The gorgeous twosome hit a cap trap with SLB with their current excursion, yet that is most likely not the finish of the street. Producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has conveyed some incredible hits with `Padmaavat` star Deepika Padukone throughout the years, has said he isn't finished with the dimpled magnificence up 'til now.

With Padmaavat, the chief commended excellence, strength, and valor as Deepika Padukone as she featured the story of the brave Rani Padmavati of Chittorgarh. His work of affection is getting gigantic love and thankfulness from all quarters.

Talking about the performing artist, Bhansali stated, "Deepika is so breathtaking; she is such a Jaan. I simply adore her. All her diligent work and splendor that she conveys to the set is easy. She does her planning yet there is none of the `I am set up for a role` greatness around her. It is finished with so much silence."The 54-year-old further stated, "It`s such a delight to work with somebody who does what she is doing right then and there with outright genuineness. She`s an on-screen character who feels so sincerely and just, yet her exhibitions are definite and nuanced. I`m not finished with her yet."

That`s not all. Bhansali, who pressed out all of the feelings and emptied ability out of niche and corner of Ranveer Singh`s hot-body as he ventured into Alauddin Khilji`s shoes, has more to convey to the table through the performing artist. "No other movie producer comprehends Ranveer the way I do. Ranveer and I have an awesome science and comprehension. I know how to guide him and I'm mindful of his confinements and qualities. I comprehend what to do with him. He's an extremely unique performing artist. He has so much vitality. I just feel he puts excessively exertion into 'I did my exploration and I went here and did that', all that I get it. For him to seek after his significance, he must be somewhat easier. He is fabulous. I am not finished with him either," Sanjay Leela Bhansali told the day by day.

In 2013, Bhansali first worked with Ranveer and Deepika in Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela. The motion picture displayed Deepika as the wild and smooth Leela who goes gaga for the free-energetic yet unyielding Ram which denoted the start of a solid security between the chief performing artists trio.

The tremendous trio additionally tasted blockbuster accomplishment with Bajirao Mastani, wherein Sanjay Leela Bhansali investigated the warrior side of these two stars.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Padmaavat` discharged on January 25 and crossed Rs. 100 crore-check in the cinematic world inside four days. Padmaavat film industry accumulation as of now remains at Rs. 155 crores.

Indeed, even we can`t get enough of the undisputed match of film industry i.e Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone!

5 times Sanjay Leela Bhansali hypnotized us with his folksy grandeur music in contemporary Bollywood!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Top 7 Movie Songs

What can you expect from a person in his movies whose entire childhood was spent listening to the radio? Well! We are talking about the Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The auteur has always emphasized on his undying love for Hindi film music. Well! Today Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat goes on the floor. Music is the backbone of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s cinema and you can easily tell that he conceives a film on the basis of songs, isn`t it! Do you remember Devdas’ climax in which the camera tracks Aishwarya Rai, clad in a Bengali sari, running inconsolably towards her dying Deva? Or, the jhumar scene between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, in which Bhansali uses the chandelier as a character than a mere prop to craft one of Bollywood’s most popular romantic scenes? The lyricism of these scenes and much more remind you of an innate understanding of the finer nuances of music and the art of using songs to not simply advance the story but often, to tell the story itself. We decided to scrounge through the archives and look at top 7 movies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali that mesmerized us with their music.

Khamoshi: The Musical (1996)

Khamoshi: silence. Isn’t it ironic how this movie was a musical, and yet the name clearly refers to an era of tranquillity, of silence?

Aaj me upar shouts out, “I will not let anything put me down; today I am the happiest person alive.” The beat is fast, with a lilting melody that makes you want to stand up and start dancing right there, on the spot. Aankhon me kya conveys the love hidden beneath the silence of a face, which speaks as loudly as a voice. Bahon ki darmiyan has a slow and smooth beat which gives it a calming melody. It is a perfect song for a slow dance and conveys that you don’t need words to express your feelings. Khamoshi ended up having some of the most beautiful love songs ever. You must have noticed though, that most of the lyrics say that you do not need a voice or hearing to listen to the heart, and I guess that is why the title of the film is Khamoshi. Silence from the mouth, silence in the ears, but volume and beautiful voices in the heart. And that’s exactly where these songs are from the heart.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’s soundtrack must be a personal triumph for Bhansali, who as a Gujarati, borrows from folk influences. The album starts off with Chand Chupa Badal Mein" which tells the cute tale of the moon playing hide-and-seek games, as the hero tries to cuddle with his reticent love. Then comes the splendid song "Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan" by Kumar Sanu. The chorus adds nicely to the song with heavenly alaaps in the background. The song was picturized in the middle of some wedding preparations going on in the household and is very well shot with a lot of flirting between the lead pair. Lastly, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam title track! What can I say about this song? Where do I start? The song opens with an operatic female voice and then leads into an unforgettable mini-rift of violins.   What follows after that is pure magic! The sheer beauty of the song is that it’s not all singing from start to finish yet it communicates a plethora of emotions through the phenomenal instrumental passages. In fact, the album boasts of extraordinary music that has the potential to astound you even now, with its cocktail of songs, each one unique, colorful and brimming with a mirage of authentic flavors covering as much of the A to Z (of Hindi music) as possible on one album!

Devdas(2002)

Shreya Ghosal marks her debut with “Silsila Yeh Chaahat Ka.” The song is about a girl waiting for her lover, sounds familiar, huh? Ghosal’s flawless rendition; notice the way she easily carries off the part where she has to stretch the “Piya” refrain.“Maar Daala” sung by Kavita K. Subramanium and K.K. is a mujra. The slight harmonium touch by Darbar really adds to the flavor of the song. Bairi Piya is done with a lot of grace and maturity. In the end, The album uses raga influences of Indian classical music, mujras, semi-classical and light numbers are all given a fair treatment. The resulting mix is appealing and has something for everyone.

Saawariya(2007)

The fast beats, techno, and catchy songs rule the charts! The album starts with "Saawariya" song- a fresh and a feel-good song which is very hummable.  And when Shaan followed it with a soothing sweet-sounding "Jab Se Tere Naina", I had already increased the volume to get completely drowned in the music. Now "Masha Allah" is a song which is direct dil se from Monty Sharma, and SLB full justice to this song with dreamy sets. Thode Badmash has some innocence, naughtiness. Violin interlude in Yoon Shabnami is amazing. Saawariya reprise is the perfect ending for the album. In the end, it’s a complete score wherein Monty has poured his heart and soul into each and every track.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013)

The album is a proof that SLB is nothing but a short of legendary even in music! Latching on well to every tune and every beat, the song is carried out with commendable energy. We all have watched Nagada Dhol and yes, despite being similar to Dholi Taro`s beats, this charming folk music is perfect in Shreya Ghosal`s voice. The instrumental arrangement of Lahu Munh Lag Gaya is fascinatingly well synced. Ang Laga De is a brilliantly executed seductive track. Aditi Paul renders her voice with perfection. Though it is the picturization of the film that will matter more in enhancing the beauty of this track! Adding one more beauty to his fast-growing repertoire of good songs is Arijit Singh with Laal Ishq. Arijit renders it most soulfully, ably supported by the chorus in the right places. Ram Chahe Leela is the one song that stands out from the rest in terms of the arrangement. The soundtrack album is quite comparable to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s last, Guzaarish, in its mix. This hangover factor is concerning though.

Aaaaaand........

Special Mention........

How can we forget the latest Bollywood movie Padmaavat starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles? Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavaat makes it the seventh film that the filmmaker has scored music for. Bhansali creates ‘Khalibali’ for Padmaavat which in all likelihood is the song for Ranveer Singh to shake his leg too. The Arabic touches on the orchestration of ‘Khalibali’ make it a more appealing piece than the aforementioned two. Bhansali and Turaz do even better with the other, more exotic sounding ‘Binte Dil’ – the sultry song sounds almost like a world music piece, rather than a Bollywood song. While Arijit Singh’s Arabic modulations don’t always hit the mark, he does a wonderful job of conveying the passion in Turaz’s lines. Haven’t we all heard Ghoomar more than enough number of times already?  Despite having a folk vibe to it, the song is being loved by everyone across the board. Ek Dil Ek Jaan has been crooned beautifully and Padmaavat should put singer Shivam Pathak on the map. All in all the soundtrack of Padmaavat is above average at the least. I wonder why the best songs on the album Binte Dil and Nainowale Ne were kept under wraps!

Shyam Benegal on Padmaavat: ‘Padmaavat an inevitable part of History’!

Padmaavat Release Date

Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Padmaavat` hit the theatres today and supporters/protesters are going berserk. Many Bollywood actors have come forward to express they regard for the director-actors, as well their stern support for Padmavati.

Prominent filmmaker Shyam Benegal on Padmaavat has given his own views on the period drama saying “`Padmaavat` is like Kalidasa`s Meghdoot, a great classic that people know. In that part of the country, it is sung as a ballad," said the veteran filmmaker who even used the `Ghoomar` song in this series without any objections being raised. "I got Ila Arun and a popular folk singer from Rajasthan to sing for me." As Ranveer plays Khilji, a true menace and barbarian, one cannot help but reminiscent of the late Om Puri, who had played the same role with equal ( maybe better) flair in Shyam Benegal`s ambitious 53-part TV series in the late `80s, `Bharat Ek Khoj`. Seema Kelkar played the legendary Queen, with Rajendra Gupta playing Raja Ratan Singh. Interestingly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was a part of the TV series too!

"His sister, Bela Sehgal, was the chief editor on the series and Sanjay was assisting her. The brother-sister duo was working together and his name even featured in the credits as part of the team that edited this particular episode (along with Dilip Panda, Chakradhar Sahu, and Ashok Swami)," said a nostalgic Benegal.

The director who received Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Bollywood and regional film industry were asked about the necessity to include Padmavati in Indian history. "We know that Khilji laid siege on the Chittorgarh Fort and the popular belief is that he had wanted to possess Queen Padmini, known for her legendary beauty, even though he never met her. He only saw her reflection in a moat and a mirror, according to the poem," informs the veteran director. However, Benegal did not show the brave queen committing Jauhar as is known, from the story. "It was difficult to depict it on screen but we did mention it. There is a reference to Jauhar in the poem as well," the filmmaker said.

Supreme court dismisses Padmaavat’s ban in all states: Padmaavat to release nationwide!

Padmaavat Movie Release Date

In a response to the anti-Padmaavat movement across the nation,   Supreme Court has dismissed all pleas for banning the movie in various states. The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed a ban on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat imposed by four states, ensuring an all India release of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film on January 25.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra also restrained any other state from issuing such notifications and orders prohibiting exhibition of the movie. The bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud observed that the states are obliged to maintain law and order.

“We direct that there shall be a stay of operation on the notification and orders issued and we also restrain other states from issuing such notifications or orders in this matter,” an interim order stated. Senior advocates Harish Salve and Mukul Rohatgi, representing Viacom 18 and other producers of the movie, told the bench that states have no power to issue such notifications banning the exhibition of a film when the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given a certificate of release.

“If states are banning a film, then it is destroying the federal structure. It is a serious matter. If somebody has a problem, then he or she can approach appellate tribunal for relief. A state can’t touch the content of a film. We request the Central government to pass a direction to the states for a better and an effective step and solution,” he added.

Governments of Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan had declared that they will not allow screening of the movie. The producers had approached the top court challenging the notification and orders issued by four states-- Gujarat Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh-- prohibiting exhibition of the film.

The apex court heard a plea by the film`s makers against the governments of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana, for bowing down to fringe groups and banning the film`s release, even after it was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It upheld the petitioners` contention that the film formed a part of the filmmaker`s freedom of speech and expression guaranteed under Article 19 of the Constitution. So Padmaavat release date fixes on 25th January.

The verdict comes as a relief to team ‘Padmaavat’, especially after Rajput Karni Sena, on Wednesday continued to demand a nation-wide ban on the film and openly threatening to create a “war-like situation in the country.”

After battling for months for the safe and successful release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ (originally titled ‘Padmavati’), the makers finally got clearance from the CBFC and a release date. The movie starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor is set for release on 25th January, clashing with Akshay Kumar`s Padman, releasing on the same day.

According to Supreme court Upcoming Movie Padmaavat release nationwide!

No promotions for Padmaavat??? Ranveer Singh absent at Padmaavat advancements!!!

Upcoming Movie Padmaavat

Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Padmaavat` has at long last been given a green flag from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film`s lead cast, including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, in any case, has evidently been requested to avoid advancements and to evade media communications. Reasons?

On the off chance that reports are to be trusted, the producers need to avoid special work to maintain a strategic distance from contention. Additionally, the cast individuals are professedly occupied with different duties.

The upcoming film, `Padmaavat` was before planned to discharge on December 1, 2017, however ceaseless dissents and the CBFC disaster constrained the producers to move the date to 25th January. Ranveer Singh, who fills the role of Khilji, in the film has been very removed from the advancements. Regardless of whether a buildup or another showcasing procedure, we cannot state without a doubt. Whichever way looks like Ranveer`s fans will be denied of the hunk`s enthusiastic nearness at the film`s advancements.

While Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor promoting the film, Ranveer was absent. The on-screen character had a significant effect on his first look at the publications. After which, individuals basically couldn't quit going gaga about his contemptible demonstration in the trailer.

Prior, bits of gossip proposed that his co-star Shahid Kapoor was unreliable with Singh hoarding all the spotlight. Be that as it may, the correct explanation behind Ranveer`s nonappearance is obscure. A source uncovered that is each of them a piece of the film`s exposure. Deepika and Ranveer were as well, requested to avoid each other...?? Many likewise recommended that Ranveer and Deepika`s individual relationship was incurring significant damage to the film.

Unfortunately, Deepika`s late remarks on the film discharging according to plan in spite of restriction have just collected greater cynicism for the motion picture. The motion picture would bolt horns with Akshay Kumar`s Padman which is additionally set to discharge on 25th January.

Latest News on Padmavati: Rajput Outfit Asks For A Total Ban On Padmavati

Latest News On Padmavati

Padmavati Controversy now takes another new twist. A Rajput outfit unhappy over the censor board's green signal to Bollywood film has demanded a total ban on Padmavati. Karni Sena did not miss the opportunity and has said that the censor board's nod to the controversial film was "unfortunate".

Protestors have threatened to "set ablaze" cinema halls screening this period drama. The Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone-starrer has already been banned in Gujarat and some other states.

Speaking with media, Raj Shekhawat,  Gujarat president of the outfit, sternly declared that Karni Sena members would take the law into their hands if the film was not banned across the country.

"It is unfortunate that the censor board has decided to give the film a U/A certificate with only five changes. We will not accept this. We want a total ban on the film, which glorifies the barbarian invader, Alauddin Khilji. Just like Gujarat and some other states, we want the Centre to stop its release in the other parts of the country as well," Shekhawat said.

The filmmakers who were accused of distortion of historical facts had to make necessary changes to get a green signal from CBFC. Activists, however, find the changes 'not sufficient' for the movie to release saying, "We want the government to impose a pan-India ban on the film. Otherwise, we will take the law into our hands and not hesitate to set ablaze cinema halls (screening the film)."

Prasoon Joshi, chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), announced on December 30 that "Padmavati" would be given a U/A certificate post a few changes. One of the major modifications included changing the name from Padmavati to 'Padmavat'. Although he has denied any cuts made to the film, some changes have also been made to the controversial 'Ghoomar Song".

CBFC had clarified that the U/A certificate would be issued once the modifications were incorporated and the final material was submitted.
